Placed by Gideon—More than Just Knits

As you will see from his 2010 autumn/winter collection, Gideon Tam is an expert in knitwear, which often comes in thick, rich, chunky textures.

For this season, Gideon has prepared trendy knit hoodies and scarves, as well as chic bulky cardigans with flared lapels.

Finely knitted vests grace the collection, some with sleeves and thin lapels and others belted at the waist.

Placed by Gideon: Befit for Knits

Gideon Tam developed a fascination with knitwear from an early age as he was inspired by his mother’s woolens factory.

He later went on to deepen his devotion to knitwear by studying menswear design in London.

Five years after graduating in 2001, Gideon launched his label Placed by Gideon, which is now being carried by high-end stockists around the world.

Silk, cashmere, camel hair, lavish skins, and superfine merino are some of the premium, long-lasting materials in Gideon’s collections.

Layering, collars, hoods, and mismatched stitching are some of the characteristics of Placed by Gideon.

An interplay of texture, fur trims, and multi-strand accessories heighten the excitement of every collection.
