The top is cute, but that's about it.






For one horrified moment we thought she was wearing a skort, but no, it's just a really unflattering skirt in an ugly color. And we're just going to say it: Everyone who is not a member of the First Family is well-dressed in the above photos. The Obamas look embarrassingly under-dressed here. This is why we get so excited when she does something right on the fashion front. It's because she gets it wrong more often than not.

And we can't even fall back on the "Well, she's taking risks and we have to applaud that" line. This isn't taking risks. She looks like she's running errands on the weekend. They both do. Tsk, Shelley. You should know better than to meet a head of state looking like you're going to make a Target run as soon as it's over.
