PR: Andy, April, and Casanova

Tricks are for kids.

Andy almost had us there for a second.

Model: Cassie

When this first stepped out, we thought, "Hey, this is kind of snazzy."

We don't actually use the word "snazzy." We probably should. Also, "jazzy."

Anyway, we really liked the top.

Especially when she did her little magic trick. Andy used this pagoda sleeve technique for his audition and everyone was impressed by it. It's not surprising he'd pull it out of his trick bag.

The thing is, once deployed, you really can't utilize such a unique element again during the competition. Andy, you done spent your wad.
Unfortunately, she turned around, revealing the tuxedo stripe, which was a bad idea.

Then she walked away, revealing that the pants were just too voluminous on the bottom and that they needed to be hemmed at least a couple inches.

It's a shame. If the pants had been a simple tailored straight-leg WITHOUT the gigantic tuxedo stripes, this could have been a contender, in our opinion.

We don't remember this dress at all.

Model: Millana

Perhaps we both had some sort of seizure or perhaps a short-lived fugue state during the initial broadcast, but we swear, we don't remember this at all.

And y'know?

It's pretty memorable.

There's definitely a fit and an execution issue, and we think she might need to rethink the proportions, but this is the start of a very cool idea.

Also, editing. Look into it, April.

From the back, this is almost as overdesigned as Nicholas' entry this week. We don't mind visible zippers, a lot of designers have been doing it for a good while now, but this dress had enough going on and besides it points an arrow to some of the technical issues.

Still, we really like where she was going with this. Color us intrigued, minions.

Tim Gunn's Workroom:

Oh Casanova. God bless you for being so adorably unpredictable. We want to be your tit friends. Last week, you gave us the most hookerific dress we think we've ever seen on this show, and this week, you gave us...

Model: Sarae

Brooke Astor.

We sit in awe of your range.

This is well made and we have to say, it looks great.

Unfortunately, it's got "Park Avenue dowager" written all over it. Beautiful garments but decidedly mature-looking.

Yeah, he can skip the blouse and make her cha-cha for the camera (WTF kind of directions was he giving her?), but nothing's gonna hide the fact that this is something that octogenarians wear to museum galas.
