GQ lays down the law:
"You're not wearing jeans exclusively anymore, right? Good. Now it's time to add some colored chinos to your collection of khakis. Just remember: If they're baggy, you're going to look like your wife went shopping for you at Vineyard Vines. Instead, yours should be trim and tapered—and don't even think about pleats."
It's comforting to know that the copy written for men's fashion magazines is just as stupid, narrow, and obsessed with gender roles as the copy written for women's magazines, isn't it, kittens? Anyway, GQ has a feature on the trends for spring for men and we're going to tackle some of them here to get the collective opinion of our beloved minions (as well as to offer some of our own). First up: candy-colored chinos.
Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2011 Collection
We say YEA so wholeheartedly that it comes out "YAY!" As we said the other day, OUR days of wearing pink pants are behind us, but we implore all young men to take them out for a spin. Or pick another color. The point is, if you're going to eschew jeans for pants (which you should try to do more often), then why get locked into a color? We may not try the pink ones on, but some of the colors in that GQ pick intrigue us, especially the blue and green.
Et vous, kittens? What are your thoughts?
