Born 1968 in Hyogo, Japan, Masahiko Maruyama graduated from the Vantan Design Institute in 1989, starting his menswear collection in 2002—several years after his woman’s collection.Masahiko named his label according to the concept of ripping off all décor so that the simplicity of design may become clear.
Ornamentation is maintained at a minimum, while the focus is laid on relaxed tailoring and superior fabrication.
