Yes we can! Thanks to Avenged Sevenfold’s dedicated fans (and our unflagging support), the band’s new record, Nightmare, has claimed the Number One spot on the Billboard Top 200, knocking Eminem’s Recovery down to Number Two. Nightmare sold 163,000 copies in its first week, according to Billboard, while Eminem only hocked 159,000 copies of Recovery. Nightmare also reached the Number One mark on Billboard’s Hard Music, Digital, Internet and Alternative Album Charts, which basically makes this the band’s best week ever. This is not only A7X’s highest selling debut, but also the band’s first Number One album. The band’s previous best-seller was their 2007 self-titled disc, which debuted, and peaked at Number Four, selling 94,000 copies its first week.
