As the remaining designers get eliminated from Project Runway, we'll take a look each week at the auf'd designer's decoy collection.
Part of us feels really bad because we keep hammering the same point home every time we talk about him: there's simply nothing interesting or exciting about the clothes he designs. Honest to Chanel, we didn't remember one of the following looks. The entire runway show is wiped from our memories.
The second point we always make with Christopher is the one we're not sorry about: there's nothing particularly wrong with eschewing "exciting" with your design philosophy. He can (and for all we know, does) have a very good career as a designer making wearable, salable, blandly pretty clothes. Our problem was always with his presence in a design competition, something for which he is clearly unsuited.
Let's start the show.

Let's start the show.
The vest is interesting. We like the outer fabric but not so much on the lining. The jumpsuit couldn't be any more boring. The belt's ugly.
This could be cute, but the proportions seem way off. Either that or she's totally the wrong size for these pieces. She's swimming around in these clothes.
Catalogue pretty.
*shrug*
Do you see why we couldn't remember any of the pieces from this collection?
The top is just okay. It seems a strange choice to go sheer AND tight. Those pants are awful.
A dress so plain it almost doesn't exist at all.
Finally, something with a little interest. We like that top quite a bit. Once again, hate the pants. His pants always seems to fit strange throughout the hips.
It's alright, we guess. There's not a lot to it. It almost feels like this was his attempt to be edgy.
It's certainly not an award winning design but we'd like this dress quite a bit if he hadn't used that metallic.
*shrug*
We hate to do that, but we honestly don't have much to say.
We don't mean to be dismissive. We have no doubt he worked very hard on this collection, just as we have no doubt there's a large customer base for his work. It's simply not up to the level of a NY Fashion Week runway show, however. On a mannequin in the Juniors or Misses sections? Absolutely. Walking a New York runway as part of a design competition? Polite applause.
