PR: Michael C.

Last but not least.

No bitchiness here. This was adorable.

But this was a little creepy. Although if it didn't have the eyes, we would have said it was one of the better prints.

And while this was far from perfect, we think it may be one of the best things he's done on the show.

Since we're sour bitches, let's start with the negatives. We're not at all crazy about the contrasting gold color, nor do we think this origami-esque kind of dress is particularly fashion-forward. Quite the opposite; fashion's moving away from that kind of look.

Like a lot of Michael's work, it comes down that runway looking mighty sloppy to us. We wouldn't say he has technical issues so much as he has finishing issues.

In other words, despite what Ivy and Gretchen say, he can sew. He just can't sew impeccably.

Okay, now come the compliments. We thought his design was quite witty, riffing on menswear without being obvious about it. Not only did the bustline and bodice mimic a man's lapels, collar and tie...

The skirt subtly mimicked a pair of pants. Our only issue with the design was the band across the waist, which didn't really help the effect. Especially since it was coming awfully close to being overdesigned. Take away that waistband and the dress would look more elegant.

What made this laudable was that it felt original, which is not something we can say about most of the rest of his work, including his winning designs.

And yeah, the matchy-match shoes were a bad idea. If the judges are going to place that much importance on styling, then they need to offer the designers better alternatives than the Pipershit Accessories Wall.

Check out the extended judging video to see Gretchen once again fail to keep her mouth shut. Her obsession with Michael is going to get her auf'd because she's clearly distracted by it and she's been flailing ever since the Team Luxe challenge.
