Keep-it-Simple Shelley O

Dropping in for a visit.

Michelle got a couple looks (mostly) right lately by following our advice to the letter, proving once again the vast and mighty power of T Lo. Let's take a look.

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama (in a Maria Pinto dress) attend a Medal of Honor presentation ceremony at the White House.

It's always a relief to see her going with what works for her. Inexplicably (to us, anyway) she too often wears shapes and silhouettes that are all wrong for her. We've been saying practically from the minute she became First Lady that simple sheaths in brilliant colors are the absolute best look for her. We love the neckline with the brooch or button (we're not sure which). A perfect day look for a First Lady.

The only issue we have here is that it's too shiny and there's a lot of bunching up and wrinkling going on. In another fabric it would have been the perfect dress for her. Like the Maria Pinto dress, it's the perfect silhouette and color for her. She does tend to like her shiny dresses but if we were dressing anyone in the public eye we'd advise them to stick to matte fabrics because there's less of a chance of things going wrong in front of the cameras.
