Two things: Congrats to Lea, because a Glamour party held in your honor in Paris definitely means you've arrived darling. Second thing: Zac Posen, you need to eat.
Okay, the dress. Or is it a coat? Or a shiny, waterproof bathrobe? Vicki Beckham's turned out to be not such a bad designer and we like a lot of the stuff she got placed on the backs of starlets over the last year. This does not fall into that category. This is, in fact, the first Vicki Beckham (we like to picture her reading this and fuming at our insolence) that we kind of hate. It looks bad on the model and worse on Lea; not because she's not pretty enough or fabulous enough to wear it, but because this is an outfit that only retains whatever appeal it has long enough to get a picture taken or walk a runway. A normal person wearing this all night is going to go sloppy mighty quickly.
And we just don't love the shiny here. It looks like it was made out of shower curtains. Plus the color does nothing for her. We respect that she wants to show the world that she's not an awkward teenager like the character that made her famous, and we fully support her going out in more grownup looks. She's gotten more right than wrong on the fashion front but this one's definitely a wrong.
OUT.
