You know the drill, kittens: credits, quotes, pictures, and then the most important part of all, T Lo's opinion on the whole thing.

US Vogue October 2010 Issue
Editorial: "The Talented Miss Mulligan"
Photographer: Peter Lindbergh
Hair: Didier Malige for Frédéric Fekkai
Makeup: Stéphane Marais
Production Design: Tom Bewermeier
Location: Camargue, South of France

“When I was fifteen, I’d had vivid dreams of acting with Judi Dench—it was never Tom Cruise, always Judi Dench. I’d wake up and go, ‘Not real!’ and then I’d cry. The first day of
Pride and Prejudice, there was Judi Dench.”

“At 25 I shouldn’t be doing the easy stuff. In the future, when I have responsibilities and a family, then I can do the conventional stuff.”

“When I’m doing theater, I’m more comfortable and at the same time more alive than when I’m filming."

“Posing on the red carpet feels like you’re selling something that has nothing to do with you. If you do it with someone else, it’s like we’re saying, ‘Oh! We come as a pair! Would you like to buy both of us? We’re available for weddings and Bar Mitzvahs!’ ”

“I want to be in Glee, but I’m told I’m not famous enough to be a cameo yet.”

"I don’t want to look like an actress; I want to look like a person. Normal people don’t go to the gym six times a week.”

Far be it for us to tell anyone at Vogue how to do their jobs but we feel like they dropped the ball on this one. You've got a model who's quirky, charismatic, has a unique look, and looks great in clothes. You have clothes that are considered among the most beautiful and covetable in the world. Why, then, does this editorial not look more fabulous? Oh, she looks adorable in the outfits, but she's not really working them and the settings aren't all that interesting to the eye. Why travel to the south of France when all the pictures look like they were taken in upstate New York?

Still, we love the clothes and we love the girl in the clothes. We just think this one wasn't conceptualized all that well.

In other news, something that isn't news at all but we're behind on these sorts of things all the time. Carey is supposed to be playing Eliza Doolittle? In a remake of My Fair Lady? Written by Emma Thompson? Darlings, our heads are spinning! Discuss this exciting news that seemingly everyone else heard months before we did!
