The subject was boobs.
Anyone who paid any attention to what was walking the runways in Lincoln Center last week knows that the fashion industry had another of its collective moments. This time, everyone had a sheer moment. Seemingly every collection had at least one look that looked like it was made from repurposed panty hose. We joke because we love. We actually like most of these looks and we're digging this trend. Obviously there's a practicality issue but it's the job of stylists and fashion editors to take the pieces from the runway and figure out how to make them work out in the world. The nipple mania is just a runway styling conceit. Our only issue (and it's really not that big an issue) is when a trend like this gets so saturated so quickly.
So we say YEA to sheer pieces and the inevitable return of slips, tanks and camis to help make them wearable to the public.
