Help us out here, minions.

Maybe we're just fashioned out, but we're - brace yourselves - we're finding it hard to come up with an opinion on this look. We KNOW! Now we'll have to change the blog tagline to just "Fabulous," which doesn't sound so bad until you realize we MADE OUR NAMES by being opinionated bitches! What has happened to us?

Our first impulse is to say that the lack of an opinion probably means this isn't such a hot outfit, but we can't really point to anything in particular that isn't working for us. The color is good on her; we like the ombre effect; the silhouette ... maybe that's it. Maybe we're just a little bored with the mermaid silhouette. And while the straps are kind of interesting, especially from the front, that neckline is probably a bit too high for her. She's like a heavy column of fabric.

Plus, because the dress is so overwhelming, jewelry is, for the most part, off the table. And while Malin always looks better with her hair up than down (because she has kind of thin hair), with this look, it just combines with all the other drawbacks (overwhelming dress, lack of jewelry) to make her look, well, generic.

Okay, turns out we do have an opinion and that opinion is OUT. It was tricky, but ultimately we had to come down on the side that says nothing here is really serving her well. She doesn't look awful, obviously, but whoever put this together for her didn't really think it out. It's not a bad dress, but we think it probably looks better on a more striking woman. Malin is very pretty, but like January Jones, she can come off generic when she's not styled well.

Thank you for helping us through this difficult time, kittens. An inability to form an opinion is our greatest fear. True story. Keeps us up at night.
