We're a couple days late on this one, what with the Mad Men and the Project Runway and the Iman and the yelling at Vogue editors. We debated whether to feature it at all, but our need to spew opinions won out.Harry Potter's Emma Watson decided that Carey Mulligan wasn't going to be the only British ingenue with a pixie cut. As she posted on her Facebook page:
"Dear all. Cut my hair off a few days ago. Feels incredible. I love it. I've wanted to do this for years and years," Watson wrote. "It's the most liberating thing ever. Hope you like. Big love from Emma."
It's cute. Like Carey before her, not to mention the grande dame of the pixie cut, Mia Farrow, she has a heart-shaped face, which works particularly well with this kind of cut. We predict this is going to be the thing this year for a lot of actresses, many of whom will instantly regret it as they find out that not everyone can rock a cut like this. Subsequently, we predict that in 2011, the celebrity hair weave industry is going to have a banner year. Buy stock now.
