Editorial: "Dream Away"

Unborn fawns, there are two things to discuss regarding this editorial for Vogue China. One, the styling of model Liu Wen in what would have once been called a "Grace Kelly" look but what is increasingly referred to as a "Betty Draper" look. Notable because we rarely see Asian models or actresses done up in this style and yet it's such a perfect fit for Asian hair and features. That perfect lacquered hair with the slight wave, the slash of red on the lips, the arched brow -- all very dramatic.
The second thing to discuss: this editorial, even more than usual, offers a pretty good summation of what a good stylist can do. Many of these looks look radically different from their runway pictures simply by adding a belt or repositioning a collar or pairing it with something else.
Of course, you could skip such heady topics and just ooh and ahh over the pretty. We won't judge you for it.
