PR: Andy and Christopher, Robot Boys

Wind them up and watch them sew.

Andy seems like a very sweet guy, but we're ready to declare this the most colorful cast this show's had in years. He needs to step it up in the drama department. Keep it simple. Vomit on camera or something. This seems to be the year of the Dramatic Physical Reaction, so he'd fit right in. These people aren't fooling around. A simple crying jag isn't going to do it anymore. Fainting or wailing from a couch like an opera diva or spectacular runway meltdowns are the order of the day here. It's like a soap opera with judges at the end.

We'll give him credit for one thing: it's one of the least of the worst, if that's any consolation. By the way, these entries are, as best as we can determine, how it shook out in terms of who took credit for what design.

It's still awkward and boring and it weirdly evokes '90s office wear.

But at least it looked like recognizable clothing, unlike A.J.'s and Ivy's entries.

Like, maybe with a little bit of styling, some of the pieces might work. We're afraid that jacket would have to go.

And putting a belt on it didn't suddenly make it look modern and damn sure didn't make it look "luxe." We're thinking the blouse and the skirt are salvageable, if unremarkable.

Christopher, cute though he may be, also needs to step it up in the personality sweepstakes. He's lagging far behind. For him, we suggest an accusation of some sort. Perhaps someone "stole" his lucky scissors or defaced a picture of his puppy. Or perhaps he can find an issue of Vogue stashed under a competitor's bed. Something with a little Alexis-like plotting to it. That should do it.

Hello, 1980.

And we don't necessarily mean that in a good way. There's nothing wrong with updating a classic but the problem here is there's nothing particularly notable about this look.

Again, the idea of "luxe" seems to have weirdly intersected with business wear. You could argue that it's not out of the question, since the other design point they chose was menswear-inspired looks, but we tend to think "luxe" counteracts any tendency to interpret it that way.

Besides, we don't think the office-y aspect of these designs was deliberate. They tried to shoot for "luxe" and landed on "client meeting."

We'll say that the blouse does have some visual interest in the back, although we're not supercrazy about it. Georgina Chapman was nice enough to compliment Michael C's handiwork, though.

But the fit on those pants is atrocious.

And once again there's a fart zipper in the back. There was some sort of mass delusion going on in that work room this week.
