We may have had our disagreements, but old friends like us shouldn't fight.

We're not gonna IN or OUT this one because she's a freaking legend and it's her 52nd birthday and that's that. Besides, she looks pretty damn fabulous, we have to say. We love the dress and the shoes. We could have done without the crucifix, which is long past tired. And she's doing that Karl Lagerfeld thing of trying to camouflage her aging hands by wearing little half ... we can't even call them "gloves," more like "hand covers," except they don't even cover. We're split on these. We think they can be awfully silly looking and as camouflage goes, it seems to draw attention more than it diverts it. On the other hand, they're kind of fun and we don't really think she's trying to hide her hands - she'd be wearing gloves if that were the case - so much as she's figuring out a way to dress them.
Although if she's really worried about her hands she could stand to gain 5 to ten. It's the whole "my ass or my face" question one must ask oneself past the mid-forties.
Still, happy birthday, Madge! You look fabulous, darling!
