Darlings, Heidi pretended to be Fraulein Maria and a gaggle of current and former Project Runway contestants pretended to be the Von Trapp children in order to kick off the Season 8 premiere at the Empire Hotel last night in New York City. A couple of the queens got into a fist fight over who got to be Liesl. We got the invite, but couldn't get away for the party, sadly. It's always fun to meet the designers before we've had a chance to blog about them, because they're so nice and always say "Say whatever you want about me! I think you're hilarious! I can take it!" Let's just say that turns out to be not so true more often than not.

Gotta say, Miss Heidi's rocking the shit out of that look. We love the hair. Then again, anything would have been an improvement over the Peter Berlin* cut she's been wearing lately.
As for the rest of them, it was the usual rag-tag band, all looking better than they looked on the show because they've had full nights of sleep and don't have to listen to Michael Kors every two days. Enjoy the pics, dolls.
