For some (to us, anyway) very odd reason, whenever we, umm....critique Miss Aniston here, we get a lot of livid remarks in our comments section. Look, we have no issue with the gal. We don't even know her. All we know about her is the image she chooses to project to the public and to us, she's probably one of the least interesting celebrities at her level. *shrug* That's not a crime by any means and we certainly don't want to take food out of her mouth, but what's the harm in saying "Hey, that A-list celebrity that's so popular? We don't get it."
Which isn't to say we don't think she's talented. Back in the "Friends" days we used to say that she was the one cast member who was going to have a career post-show because she's that rare celebrity combination of an attractive woman who is also a natural comedian. We just think it's a little disappointing that she's wasted a lot of her talents on shitty rom-coms. At some point she's going to age out of the genre and she hasn't done a thing to establish that she can do more than that. Then again, she has a mansion and we don't.
The only thing that really makes us grind our teeth is that she has NO STYLE WHATSOEVER. Every outfit she wears has the exact same criteria:
1) Show the maximum amount of skin (right down to the shoes)
2) No color.
That's it. She's an attractive woman with a great body and access to the very best clothing and jewelry in the world, and she almost always goes out in a beige, black or silver tube dress with a pair of naked sandals. And the thing is, she doesn't NEED to have any style. She can pay people to have style FOR her. Who wouldn't want that? Not only access to the best clothes and jewelry, but to the best stylists in the business, and all she can manage is the exact same look over and over again for a decade now. Not to mention the bleached and ironed-to-within-an-inch-of-its-life hair.
Sorry, members of the Aniston Army, until she takes a risk or demonstrates that she put any thought into her looks at all, she will continue to get OUTs from us. So much wasted potential, y'know?
Commence rock-throwing. We can take it.
