It's funny, even though neither of us have ever worn a dress or makeup (no, really), we have no problem spouting opinions about how they look on other people. In fact, it never even really occurs to us when we do our bitchy little red carpet assessments and whenever someone takes issue with them by pointing that out, we just shrug and think "So?" Except for when it comes to Bridal. Then we're acutely aware of our lack of dress-wearing experience. We think that has to do with the fact that when it comes to the average woman and her wedding plans, it really is best for any man in a 200-mile radius to sit down and shut the fuck up (unless he's a wedding planner). There's too much going on in a cultural/sociological/psychological sense for a man to even consider opening his mouth. We have never known a gal planning her wedding who didn't get a little sympathy from us because of all the insane pressure she faces. Unless she's a total bridezilla, and then we just think she's a crazy bitch.
Anyway, this is our way of saying we're taking a back seat on this one. We love these dresses. They're sweet and romantic and most important of all (to us, anyway), relatively simple. But that's all we have to say. We'll let the former brides and soon-to-be brides and maybe-someday brides have the final say. Ladies?
