Just pleat it.Basil Soda is another of those designers whose name you'll often hear when a starlet is asked that immortal question, "Who are you wearing?" One glance at this collection will tell you why: enough folded-napkin dresses to populate the Oscars and the Golden Globes. Surprisingly, there are a couple of edgier-looking pieces here as well, like the leather jacket with the sheer cutouts on the sleeves that you see featured in the thumbnail above. Still, most of this doesn't really excite us. It's a lot of the same ol', same ol'. Too busy and too fussy for our tastes. We like the color story, especially the rich blues and pinks, but that's about it in terms of mustering up any excitement. It's fine. There's nothing we hate (okay, maybe that lampshade of a wedding gown), but nothing that we really love, either.
