Bjork attends the closing of Marina Abramovic's "The Artist is Present" hosted by Givenchy at The Museum of Modern Art in New York City in Givenchy.
Oh hell. We can't do it. The whole point to Bjork on the red carpet is that she's in on the absurdity of it. Judging her choices using the same criteria we would for someone like, say Halle Berry or Reese Witherspoon, would be pointless. She's not operating under the same rules.
Although we will say this: we're not loving this look on her because it's (as strange as this sounds when talking about a gold lame puff that looks like a crushed Christmas tree ornament) pretty conventional for her. We'd rather see her go whole hog like in the days of the infamous swan dress. This, with a few tweaks and the right accessories, could be something worn by the latest little starlet/fashion victim. Granted, the event was hosted by Givenchy, so showing up in Givenchy (instead of some unknown Scandinavian designer who makes dresses out of ATM receipts or something like that, which you KNOW was her first choice) would be expected. Still, she could have worn a tinfoil hat or strung Christmas lights on her to liven it up. Bjork, we expect better from you. You're OUT, not because this looks ridiculous, but because it doesn't look ridiculous enough.
Hey, how about that? We COULD do it!
