Diane von Furstenberg Resort 2011

You can take the girl out of the city...

Vogue speaks to DVF because she wont speak to you or us:

"It’s looking through the keyhole into the privacy of a room,” says Diane von Furstenberg of the starting point for her intimate offering of boudoir/beachwear for resort 2011. “For me, nothing’s more inspiring than a hotel room—you feel so grown-up and glamorous there.”

We like how Vogue points out how packable all of these pieces are, as if the average DVF customer worries about having to check an extra piece of luggage. That's the cynical take. The fashionista take is that these are some pretty fab, chic, and stylish looks. Kind of colorless for a resort collection but it can't all be wild florals and party colors. Someone's got to design clothes for the city girl who remains a city girl no matter where she goes.
