Even celebrities have their bad hair days. Help! I'm having a bad hair day.
Regardless of the quality of your cut, the excellence of your products, and the skill you have with your hair, once in a while, your hair is simply going to look awful. Bad hair days are just part of our life. Even the celebrities have their own bed bad hair day. They happen when:
- Your styling products have built up in your hair
- Your hair is really clean (it's much harder to manage than day-old hair that has a little dirt in it).
- Your hormones vary- the week before your period, increased estrogen can accelerate oil production and create greasy hair.
- Changes occur in your normal environment.
Humidity, dryness, quality of the weather, and change in season can affect the porosity (ability to hold moisture) of your hair. Dryness can make your hair flyaway and unmanageable; humidity will cause your hair to curl and frizz.
Beauty tip: Another mirror cause of bad hair days: that phone call in the middle of your styling routine. If you allow your hair to dry before you have finished styling it, redampen your hair and start all over again.
Many unnecessary haircuts have come from impatience generated by bad hair days. Calm down, trying to re-style, and where in doubt, plop on the chic little hat and forget about it.
